Children's Ministries

 

At First Christian Church, children are a priority.   We believe that it is vital to share the Good News of Jesus Christ

 

to all young people.   Our goal is to help these young people experience a personal relationship with Christ, involve them in Christian Fellowships, and assist them in their process of becoming the person God has planned them to be.   We

 

hope to do this by providing opportunities for Bible Study, Fellowship, Service, and Music programs.   Please be a part of this vital Children's Ministry at First Christian Church.
                                                                                                      

SUMMER 2010 EVENT CALENDAR:

Thursday, June 10:  Movie at Times Square Cinema at 9:00 AM - "Space Chimps"; meet in CLC parking lot at 8:30 AM with $5.00 for movie and kids snack. 

Monday, June 14:  10:00 AM - 1:00 PM; Morning at the East Texas Food Bank - then a picnic at Bergfeld Park (collect peanut butter and jelly to take)

Tuesday, June 22:  6 Flags - Meet at the church at 11:00am.  Cost is $30 per person plus money for extras and dinner in the park.  Bring a sack lunch for the road.  We will get back to the church at 9:00pm.

Wednesday, June 30: Wednesday play day at the Hill's (Mike, Susan, Hannah and Hudson); 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM; Pizza, swimming, video

Sunday, July 11 through Wednesday, July 14:  VBS - High Seas Expedition, 6:15 - 8:30 PM

Tuesday, July 20 through Saturday, July 24:  JYF Camp

Thursday, August 12:  Movie at Times Square Cinema - "The Land Before Time"; 9:00 AM

Tuesday, August 17:  Water Park (to be determined);  Meet at the church at 11:00

Sunday, August 29:  Promotion Sunday

Goals For Children's Ministries
 
The Children's Ministries of First Christian Church will establish morals and spiritual values through Teaching- n- Training, Sunday School, Children's Church and Extended Session, Vacation Bible School and other special Children's Ministry events throughout the year.

•Providing a safe, accepting, consistent environment

•Teaching faith and life skills

•Involving the entire family in activities

•Providing an extended faith family in order to model Christian values

•Developing and encouraging Biblical training through creative activities
 
Summer Camp Registrations
 
Below are the links for the camp registrations for Summer 2010.  Please note that all the due date on these forms are when the forms are due to the area office not the church office.  All forms and money are due to the church office on the following dates:
 
Early registraiton April 11
Regular Registration May 9
Late Registration after May 9
 
The church will pay 1/2 of all regular and early registrations.  If you register after May 9 the church will pay 1/2 of the regular registration but you are responsible for the $40 late fee.
